Along the Gaviota Coast
Today I was interested in bridges, trains...and of course the beach
This is the TRAIN BRIDGE that goes over Gaviota State Beach
Just a mile or two up the U.S. 101 there are
a pair of bridges.
This one, of course...a train bridge
while this one is no longer in use, it's a
beautiful structure
(that's the U.S. 101 in the background)
ALL ABOARD!! ...as the afternoon Amtrak flies by!!
in the distance, you can see the Gaviota
Beach train bridge (upper left)
and the Gaviota Pier from an over looking bluff
It's HARD to shoot a pic while driving THROUGH a tunnel @ 65!!!
Here are a few more, but NOT my favorites...
This is the pier @ Gaviota State Beach
High Tide on Rufugio Beach left a huge puddle!!
While Rufugio State Beach is NICE, and there
is Camping
I would NOT have paid the $10.00 day fee to come here!!
